World clock
A built-in major mode in Emacs that provides a world clock.
Entry point:
Run with elisp:world-clock, quit by typing q.
- The (IANA) time zone database (a.k.a.
tzorzoneinfo): file:///usr/share/zoneinfo/zone.tab https://www.iana.org/time-zones - Online time zone search with
zoneinfo: https://time.is/
A message for the people sending “UTC offsets”:
Please, always tell your IANA time zone, so that we avoid DST and other issues. For example,
Australia/Perthand notAWST (UTC+8). It is the best approach when working across time zones. If you do not know how to find your IANA time zone using your computer, use the website https://time.is/.
