Key	Command	Description
C-x r m	bookmark-set	mark the position at point
C-x r b	bookmark-jump	jump to a bookmark

If used temporarily, clean up with bookmark-delete-all when done. To correct mistakes, use bookmark-rename and bookmark-delete.
